HCI 201 | Sketchbook

To introduce the idea of prototyping, I created sketches of interfaces, interactions with technology, or new technology ideas throughout the span of three months. The ideas in this sketchbook are comprised of useful gadgets or unrealistic tech that we have yet to invent. Detailed descriptions and full resolution images are provided in the Google Drive Folder linked above.

Class Reflection

Pros: Overall, HCI 201 was an enjoyable course and I appreciate the instructor's flexibility with the established coursework. Whenever certain projects or class activities seemed to be more intruiging to the class, we were offered an extension so we can further expand the given assignment. This resulted in many fun design ideas for the course.

Cons: Better pacing of group projects would be appreciated as I felt most of the big assignments were packed into the end of the quarter. If these projects had been assigned earlier, I believe the "Design for Access" and "Community Design" projects could have resulted better and the teamwork would have gone smoothly. With the limited time and team members' varied availablility, the group work was a bit exhausting at times and difficult to schedule.
